To be eligible for admission to our degree and diploma programs, students must meet the following basic requirements:

  1. KCSE C+ (C Plus)
  2. IGCSE 5 Upper Level Passes
  3. GCE 5 ‘O’ Level Passes with C and above or Principal C at A level
  4. 12th Grade GPA of 2.5

For students from countries where the above examinations are not applicable, a special qualifying examination may be required. The specific entry requirements for each program can be found on our website.

Application Procedure

Aspiring students can apply for degree programs through the following steps:

  1. Visit the Website: Access the Kiriri Women’s University website at https://www.kwust.ac.ke/.
  2. Admission or Apply Icon: Click on the admission or apply icon on the homepage to access the online application form.
  3. Complete the Form: Fill out the application form with accurate information and provide all necessary details for the admission process.
  4. Pay Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable application fee of KES 1,000 for local applicants or US$ 55 for foreign applicants.
  5. Submit Attachments: Attach relevant documents to the completed application form, including the result slip, school leaving certificate, two letters of reference (one from the Headteacher/Principal), and three recent passport-sized photographs.

Scholarships

At Kiriri Women’s University, we recognize and reward outstanding academic performance and financial need through scholarships. Students who make it to the Dean’s List are automatically eligible for scholarships.

Specific Entry Requirements for Degree Programs

  1. BSc Mathematics: A candidate must have obtained a minimum mean grade of C+ (C Plus) in KCSE. In addition, they must have passed with a grade C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English.
  2. BSc Computer Science: To be admitted, a candidate must have obtained a minimum mean grade of C+ (C Plus) in KCSE. They must have also passed with a minimum grade of C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English. Applicants must have covered Physics or Physical Science in Secondary School.
  3. BSc Business Administration: Candidates should have obtained a minimum mean grade of C+ (C Plus) in KCSE. Additionally, they must have passed with a minimum grade of C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English.

Specific Entry Requirements for Diploma Programs

  1. Diploma in ICT: A candidate should have a KCSE mean grade of C- (C Minus) and a C- (C Minus) in Mathematics and English/Kiswahili. Applicants with a certificate in a computer/telecommunications engineering-related field may also be considered.
  2. Diploma in Business Administration: To be eligible, candidates must have obtained a minimum mean grade of C- (C Minus) in KCSE or KCE Division II. Alternatively, applicants with a certificate in Business Administration from a reputable and recognized institution with a credit level pass can apply.
